I study how reinvestment – the tendency to consciously control and monitor movements and decisions, which can disrupt automated skills under pressure – contributes to performance breakdowns in sport, and how mindfulness can buffer against these effects.
My work focuses on designing and evaluating a mindfulness-based strategy that help athletes maintain automaticity and improve performance under pressure.
